Blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis has filed a legal challenge against the US government over a sole-source ICE contract worth about $94.6 million that went to competitor TRM Labs.
Chainalysis Government Solutions filed the challenge in the US Court of Federal Claims on July 27, alleging ICE's decision was "arbitrary, capricious, and unreasonable." The one-year award runs from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, covering forensic software and support services for Homeland Security Task Force investigations. The complaint remains under seal due to confidential and proprietary information, with the court granting that status on July 31. TRM intervened in the case on July 28, with responses due Friday and oral argument scheduled for Sept. 2.
