Our world had color. However, a world full of heartaches that are rewarded must also have color. Some are green and decorated with a very bright sky as if to greet them with a smile. There is also a nature which has an atmosphere of anxiety, resignation, regret and various kinds of negative atmospheres like that. Those nature is based on the color red with orange decorations that are very bright, as if it will light up and have a subtraphospere that the color will devour their souls until the brave side is gone.

Monochrome, the colorful world he lives in has faded. The color seemed to disappear from his sight until it turned into receding gray. It's like an old black and white comic book where they bathe in the shadows, which is where they live in a world full of monochrome. His present life is like living but dying in the beginning. That heartstring is the protagonist of the Blue Period manga series. He is a second year high school student with very high grades despite his mischievous lifestyle, having the feeling that he finds his life boring and predictable. The phrase “Blue Period” relates directly to the world of art and Yaguchi's inner struggle as an artist. Before understanding what the name means, it is important to note that Yaguchi is the type of individual who suppresses his true feelings to conform to his ideas of society's expectations. This is seen throughout the manga, where Yaguchi constantly struggles between expressing his true self and perfecting the facade of an existence that ultimately leaves him feeling empty inside.‌‌ For further notice, the term– Blue Period also reflects the inner struggles that rage within him. Yaguchi, who is finally able to question his own cynicism and express his inner desires by channeling them healthily. Yaguchi's first painting for an art class assignment is also an attempt to replicate the "Blue" feeling he experiences most mornings, although he is not satisfied with the final result.‌
