【 The Chief Executive visits police officers】
行政長官林鄭月娥今日(一月三十一日)下午在保安局局長李家超及警務處處長鄧炳強陪同下,到訪灣仔警察總部和尖沙咀警署,了解警隊的近況,並與早前在處理違法暴力事件時受傷的警務人員見面,向他們表達慰問。中央人民政府駐香港特別行政區聯絡辦公室(中聯辦)主任駱惠寧一同慰問,副主任楊建平和警務聯絡部部長陳楓陪同參與。
期間,各人亦參觀了「重大事件調查及災難支援系統」辦公室,了解其運作,以及該系統在防控新冠肺炎疫情方面,如何協助衞生署衞生防護中心追蹤緊密接觸者。
處長感謝行政長官及中聯辦主任對警隊的慰問和支持,以及肯定警隊在維護國家安全和維持社會穏定所作出的貢獻。
The Chief Executive, Mrs Carrie LAM, accompanied by the Secretary for Security, Mr John LEE and the Commissioner of Police, Mr TANG Ping-keung, visited the Police Headquarters in Wan Chai and the Tsim Sha Tsui Police Station this afternoon (January 31), to learn more about the recent situation of the Force, and met with the police officers who had been injured earlier while handling the illegal violent incidents to give them her regards. The Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (CPGLO), Mr LUO Huining, was also there to express his regards. The Deputy Director of the CPGLO, Mr YANG Jianping; and the Director-General of the Police Liaison Department of the CPGLO, Mr CHEN Feng, were present.
Mrs Lam and the officials also visited the office of the Major Incident Investigation and Disaster Support System, and learned how the system operates and assists the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health in tracing close contacts, to help prevent and control the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic.
The Commissioner thanked Mrs Lam and the Director of CPGLO for their regards and support for the work of the Force, as well as their recognition of its ongoing commitment to safeguarding national security and maintaining social stability.
