前文DOWRY & BRIDE PRICE DIFFERENCE
I think the main issue isn’t really about inggit or something…but about the different meanings of dowry and bride price in Chinese culture. The money given by the groom or his family is the bride price, while dowry can involve an exchange of money and gifts between the bride’s and groom’s families, meant to support the couple’s new beginning. So I think doon nagkakaroon ng misunderstanding. Different expectations about what the money and gifts represent and who should give what. Kaya minsan yung mga wives na alam ang difference ng dalawang ‘to is nagkakaron ng reaction about these things na namimis interpret ng iba and labeling it as “inggit”.
