South Korea's opposition-controlled parliament voted Friday to impeach Prime Minister Han Duck-soo (pic) who had been serving as acting president following President Yoon Suk-yeol's impeachment.

South Korea's Minister of Economy and Finance Choi Sang-mok is set to begin his scheduled duties as acting president on Friday, Yonhap news agency reported.
